A great place to start is Compass. You can start with their “Do I qualify” questionnaire and go from there. It isn’t just for minors or people with children. Answer honestly, a “household” is you and your legal spouse (married) and the minors you are taking care of. They offer Cash assistance, health care, food stamps, child assistance, and reduced lunch.

Arch Street Center

Arch Street Center is a membership-based day program for adults living with serious mental illness. Check them out and become a member! Requirements here

Refresh Lancaster is a mobile hygiene unit. As a mobile unit they are in Lancaster as well as other areas. They offer free showers & medical care. Make sure to check them out on Facebook to see where they are located that day.

Good Samaritan offers micro loans (great if you have little to no credit), Counseling, and Personal & Financial Development Workshops. They are more well known for assisting individuals and families throughout the housing process. If you need housing, check their website to see what they have available.

Lancaster LGBTQ+ Coalition has a variety of affirming services such as community groups, RPG Game meet ups, yoga, and an artist meet up. They have also compiled a wonderful resource list with local affirming businesses. Check that out under their resources tab.

Community Services Group is a fantastic organization that specializes in Mental Health services and Mental Health First Aid. They offer a STAR Program that bridges the gap between childhood and adulthood.
